National Day of Prayer: 3 Resources to Help You Pray

We all know prayer is important. But if we’re honest with ourselves, most of us have a hard time actually doing it. How then can we pray?

In honor of the National Day of Prayer, we’d like to highlight 3 resources to help you pray. (Also, we invited you to prayer at Cedar Rock each Wednesday night at 6:30.)

1. The ACTS Method

Part of our difficulty with prayer is that we don’t know what to say to God or when to say it. The ACTS method helps with this problem. This acronym gives you a basic structure for your prayer, moving strategically from focusing on God to focusing on your needs. Learn more.

2. The Prayer Grid

Part of our difficulty with prayer is that we have so many things to pray for. We either rush through them, or we don’t pray for them at all. The Prayer Grid helps with this problem. You assign different prayer needs for each day of the week. It allows you to pray more in-depth for each item you want to pray for. Learn more.

3. The Prayer Hand

Part of our difficulty with prayer is that we have a hard time remembering who all to pray for. The Prayer Hand helps with this problem. Each finger represents a different subset of people you can pray for. Learn more.
